Position Type: Salaried; Full-Time with flexibility in hours, schedule
Hours: Flexible hours based on season, weather, rentals, events, etc. Potential weekend hours regarding certain events; Extended hours during Saunders County Fair
Salary Range: $44-$48k annually, based on experience; Bi-Weekly pay

Position Summary
Under supervision of the Saunders County Agricultural Society and Personnel Hiring Committee, the Grounds & Maintenance Manager maintains the grounds and facilities of the Saunders County Fairgrounds, home of the Saunders County Fair and Saunders County Agricultural Society. The Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor also performs all required functions relating to the rental of buildings and/or grounds year-round, including support during the Saunders County Fair.
Primary Responsibilities
- Weekly Deliveries - Loading/Unloading deliveries at fairgrounds
- General Grounds Clean-up Following Events
- Grass & Weed Control
- Mowing, trimming, watering, spraying as necessary during growing season
- Snow Removal During Winter Months
- Collecting & Submitting Fees from Campgrounds Rentals (except during County Fair)
- General Maintenance & Repair of Equipment
- Maintenance & Preparation of Buildings/Facilities
- Responsible for general maintenance and repair pertaining to buildings/facilities
- Supply tables, chairs, bleachers for each rental/event as needed; take down following events
- Prepare indoor/outdoor arenas as needed for events
- Monitor heating and air conditioning in buildings
- Winterize buildings and equipment as necessary
- Rentals
- Work with renters based on rental contract instructions
- Showing & Openings buildings and facilities for renters as needed
- Supplies
- Keep inventory cleaning, maintenance, and restroom supplies
- Order paper supplies, cleaning supplies, paint, tools, lumber, etc. as needed
- Saunders County Fair
- Work with and support Saunders County Ag Society and 4-H/Extension team in setting up buildings, show rings, and grounds for various events during the fair
- Supervise any part-time employees hired by SCAS to assist with the fair
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Must has excellent communication skills
- Must know how to operate basic equipment and tools, including mower, shredder, skid loader, tractor, etc.
- Preference given to individuals with experience in basic landscaping, welding, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
